The lovely and talented Colleen (of Colleen Sherman Photography…did you know she’s shooting our wedding next month?!) tagged me! It’s my first time being tagged, so I will try to make this as riveting as possible, however, I am in the process of writing the blog, “100 Things About Sarah That You Never Wanted To Know And Probably Still Don’t Want To Know,” so don’t be surprised if these next seven gems get repeated there. (By the way, I didn’t realize how hard it is to come up with 100 things about myself! Seven is muuuuuuch easier.) Anyway, here’s them rules:
1) Share seven facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird
2) Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs
3) Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog
And without further ado…
UNO) I have curly hair. It’s not nearly as curly as my aunt’s hair, but my ‘fro is pretty righteous. Me and my Chi are BFFs….without her…well, I don’t even want to think about it.
DOS) I have never seen any of the Star Wars movies. What?! No! Yep, you read right. And try as you might, you will never get me to sit down and watch all 18 hours of them. I have what some (read: no) doctors refer to as Movie-Induced Narcolepsy. I cannot stay awake in a movie unless it’s extremely funny and/or under 100 minutes long. This is why some of my favorite movies are Anchorman, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and Wedding Crashers (and even Wedding Crashers is too long sometimes.) Of course, I do love a number of other movies that are not produced by Judd Apatow, however, none of them are classified as sci-fi.
TRES) I am blind as a bat and it’s getting progressively worse by the day. Without glasses or contacts, I can’t see anything but blobs of color and my depth perception is less than stellar. I try to do as little night-driving as possible and can count on one hand the number of times I’ve driven my new car at night. You’re welcome.
QUATRO) I am OCD, but like Colleen, mine is undiagnosed (by an actual doctor, that is…I have diagnosed myself just fine 🙂 I have actually gotten a lot better, considering I used to arrange my money not only in dollar-bill order, but also by serial number. However, some of my older friends are still surprised that I let them sit on my bed. (I know, I was totally nuts.)
CINCO) I love my Sunday crossword puzzle. I have not worked up to the New York Times Sunday Crossword Puzzle yet (because, umm, I actually like finish my crossword puzzles), but I still enjoy “making that puzzle my bitch,” as Chris would say. By the way, if you haven’t seen the movie WordPlay, you really must. Whether or not you’re a lover of the crossword puzzle (yes, I realize the dorkiness of that sentence), it’s a a great movie and most definitely queue-worthy.
SEIS) I don’t love San Diego. I definitely don’t hate San Diego and I like it a hell of a lot more than Bakersfield (75 degree summers are waaaay better than Bakersfield’s blistering 100+ degrees), but I just don’t love it like some people do. Some other things I don’t like that most people do: horses (hate ’em), mayonnaise (ew, I’d rather have a dry sandwich thankyouverymuch), and camping (I just. Don’t. Get it.)
SIETE) I am an only child, however, I am Aunt Sarah to one fantabulous niece (cousin) and two adorable nephews (cousins.) Growing up, I never thought I’d get to be a “real” aunt and that totally bummed me out, as my aunts are the coolest and I wanted to be just as cool as them. So, nine years ago, right along with Anya, Aunt Sarah was born.
Sadly, I don’t really have anyone to tag 🙁 Other than maybe my aunt and my cousin, everyone whose blogs I read have already been tagged. However, if you’re so inclined, please tag yourself, but let me know so I can read your list!
Awesome! I’m surprised almost everybody I tagged has done it!
Ok I am in the same boat as you with the Star Wars thing… never seen a single one… and never going to. No need. I actually take pride in never seeing one. 🙂
And I don’t know if we can be friends now. You don’t LOVE San Diego?? You live in OB… NEAR.THE.BEACH (and bars)… and you still don’t LOVE it? “You’re crazy man. You’re crazy.” (As said by Will Ferrel in Old School when he shot himself in the neck with a tranquilizer gun.)
Looking forward to the 100 Things About Sarah post.
“Movie-Induced-Narcolepsy” I am SO stealing that term as I have (though as yet undiagnosed) that SAME disease!!!!!!!!! 🙂
I’m tagging myself…and doing so very, very late. And you probably won’t read it until after your wedding, but that’s okay.
