They don’t make ’em like they used to

You know those days where you hear nothing decent on the radio? Like, it’s all commercials or lame-ass songs? Well, yesterday’s ride home from work was riddled – riddled, I tell you! – with a few of my favorite songs from the ’90s. Not only did I hear every song in its entirety, but the songs just kept getting so more and more radically ’90s that I though, Ohmygod, I have to write a blog about this!

So, please join me in reliving a little bit of our youth (well, for some of us, it was our youth…)

Rad ’90s Song #1: Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” (They actually do play this all the time on the radio, but I never tire of hearing it. DAMMIT, I love me some Chris Cornell.)

Rad ’90s Song #2: Garbage’s “Only Happy When It Rains”

Rad ’90s Song #3: Spin Doctors’s “Two Princes” (Hah, so I never actually knew what they were saying in this song until I searched for it on You Tube. How sad. Oh well, it’s still damn catchy!)
It won’t let me embed, so click here.

RADDEST ’90s Song #4: Color Me Badd’s “I Wanna Sex You Up” (OH. MY. GOD. Who remembers when this song debuted on “90210”?! I could go on and on about their suits! and their dancing!, but you should just watch it for yourself…)

Rad ’90s Song #5: Ace of Bace’s “The Sign” (When we were 11, my best friend and I performed this for my mom. I will not say any more about that.)

“Black Hole Sun” has to be the creepiest video ever.

love these songs. I heard two princes the other day and smiled.

i think ace of base was the first song that was playing as i walked into my first real school dance in 6th grade.
